I have seen the Table disappearing when an anti-virus, desktop search, and backup tool all access the file during changes, and I've issued the PACK command. The backup tool I'm referring to is the ones that find and automatically backup new and changed files across it's designed area. Desktop search engines and anti-virus that have been set to scan network drives. If you have a routine that DELETE TAG ALL followed with PACK, you will find a odd named file in the folder where the DBF should be, and the data will be in it.
HTH, Tracy -----Original Message----- From: Jeff Johnson Sent: Thursday, June 18, 2009 11:35 AM I have an application that reads and writes to tables mapped to a network share. This application has been working with VFP7 for many years with this arrangement. There are several sites for this customer. They are upgrading to Vista and in two locations it is working fine. In one location tables are disappearing. Yesterday the dbc disappeared and I restored it. Today a table disappeared. Any clue what may be happening? Could Vista do this?
