We use namecheap.com for our domain names. Similar pricing to godaddy
but without all the god-awful marketing noise. Simple, easy, reliable.

Namecheap also offers hosting plans, but I have no experience with these
plans.

I don't think godaddy is a bad choice. If its working for you, then I
think you're fine. On a positive note, they do have the most attractive
spokes models<g>.
