Geoffflightitis -- also known as "pet rock flu" -- is very contagious, quite possibly the next pandemic about which the WHO will have to waive its hands uselessly. Fortunately it's never fatal, it just makes you feel like you're talking to ... a pet rock. (It is also arguably responsible for mass outbreaks of man-worship, the election of dangerous demagogues, a self-destructive desire to regulate every aspect of human existence, the belief that "everyone" agrees with you and disagrees with your debate opponent, and a sort of cognitive dissonance in which you expect every other Christian to be a politically-correct left-leaning secular humanist like you.) But then there is Aráozoan Derangement Syndrome, a far more virulent and socially dangerous virus, which systematically ravages the nervous system. After literally devouring the cerebral cortex itself, this malady infects its hosts with delusions of grandeur and causes them to utter expletives and ad hominems uncontrollably.
