You have to learn the basics of HTML somewhere. Interdev was one of
many tools and because M$ sold it he opted with that. Probably like
you say that all your clients need a fat client and not a web one
these days.  Right?

Where the F did I mention anything about any M$ language outside of
the your reference to VB6?

My point that you are missing is that your knowledge to the business
rules is something that should be preserved.  Todays market place is
so tight that everyone is looking to find people who can overlay
talents with others.  Cross training is the newer buzz word for
keeping your position.  I am just trying to help you do just that.

So for you to get comfortable with VB6 could take 2 weeks and be
proficient with it 6 to 12?  For you to get comfortable with Ruby on
Rails might take 2 months and proficient another 6 months?

If you are going to have to learn something make it progressive in the
industry.  That is my point.
