Certainly good advice to be careful when dealing with people who don't appreciate the details of the problem. >It is so similar to VFP it will amaze you. I think he'll be more amazed how lacking VB is compared to VFP. Yes it's true, the GUI side of VB is very similar to VFP and is easily learned. That much would be amazingly simple to pick up. However, aside from the GUI, there's cumbersome data handling (compared to vfp), 3rd party reporting tools to learn, lots more needed uses of Win32api calls, and if this is VB6 no true OOP capability. So I'd say those aspects are not that easy to learn coming from VFP which integrates all those things far easier IMO. Yes, it's still not *that* hard to transistion from VFP to VB6, but you're making it sound far easier than I think it really is. In fact, the transition the other way VB6 -> VFP would be amazingly simple in my opinion. But you know what they say about opinions.. ;) _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
