Okay, I know I'm going to get slaughtered, but how about Windows Mobile? I
run WM 6.5 on a Samsung i910 ( a.k.a. Verizon Omnia ) and it's awesome.
Every hardware feature the IPhone has, the Omnia has, plus I can and do
write code for it right from the comfort of Visual Studio. Is WM as good as
the IPhone OS, heck no! It's still Windows. But it aint all bad either. I'd
humbly suggest it's worth at least looking at.

The iPhone is very swish but the main problem I have with it is that it's
*huge*.

Phones 10 years ago were smaller.
