I have a client using a couple of apps written in VFP9 using a common native
VFP back end. One of the apps is used for an hour or so most days and the
other opens every 5 minutes 24/7 and checks for data to download then
downloads and imports it. Every few weeks or so (not regular) they call me
with a corrupt table. Their offices are in a former factory which has been
converted to industrial and retail units. I think the corruption is caused
by a power spike when the tables are open. Assuming that this is the case I
have recommended that they install better power smoothing equipment than
they already have or gat the apps re-written to use a more robust data
storage system. Bothe these solutions are outside my experience - any
suggestions gratefully received <g>.

TIA
