I provided a very long list of provisions in the bill, including page
references, for which I was roundly criticized because apparently it was too
much to read.

The concerns about features of the proposals (there isn't just one!) that
give the government unprecedented (not to mention entirely
un-Constitutional) power to redefine, in some profoundly undemocratic ways,
every aspect of life and death from cradle to grave is not "smoke and
mirrors." They are in there, in various provisions and wrapped in legalese,
no matter how many times the NYT asserts they aren't.

The CBO itself cannot come up with a plausible scenario in which this plan
saves one red cent, yet the ostensible purpose is to reduce healthcare
costs, so one has to wonder what the non-ostensible purpose might be, given
the not-very-encouraging economic estimates about its non-existent cost
savings.

BTW, if Dr. E-Z-Kill Emmanuel's enlightened concept of "allocating" health
care doesn't raise your eyebrows, you should take a look at Obama's "Science
Fiction Czar," John Holdren, whose supposedly former views on forced
abortions and sterilizations are even more strident than E-Z-Kill's views,
though I bet these guys have a great ol' time plotting global population
"downsizing" together.

It's clear Team Obama isn't just a Death Panel; they're a veritable Death
Squad, the "culture of death" back in full force, with every intent to seize
the perceived "crisis" opportunity to implement their craziest ideas. Even
if they have to water them down a bit to assuage the justifiable fears of
the hoi polloi---whose numbers they have always sought, and continue to
seek, to thin out.
