Amen to that! I find powerpoint to typically be a shield for people who don't know their product to hide behind, and almost nothing in the world slows down a meeting like some well intentioned idiots decision that everyone would benefit from a slideshow to reinforce what they are telling me. There have been many, many reps that I have completely thrown off their game by telling them they may not show me their PP presentation, but rather sit with me and tell me about their services, let me ask questions, and so on. PP is a crutch that a professional doesn't need.
