        No, it doesn't sound like that at all, no matter how much you keep  
repeating that.

        Cross-platform UI toolkits such as wxPython (which is what Dabo uses)  
implement a standard set of widgets using the native OS API on each  
platform. So a button in Dabo on Windows doesn't 'look' like a native  
Windows button, it *is* a native Windows button.

        And it has been done; many, many times, in fact. You've kept your  
blinders on, and stuck to one platform for your career. Others, such  
as Paul and I, have worked with several different platforms for our  
careers. If I were a n00b looking for advice in this area, I'd tend to  
listen to those who have actual experience in the field.
