If you're not in denial regarding global warming and climate change, Publius, you must have been brain washed by lobbying groups with names like the Global Climate Coalition and the Information Council on the Environment. ICE's game plan called for enlisting greenhouse doubters to "reposition global warming as theory rather than fact". There is overwhelming evidence that global warming and climate change are real, man made, and pose a threat to humanity. The Scientific community came together on this issue around 2000; about the time pushback from big business lobbying groups started.
