I have used them without a land line for about 4 years and now have two lines from them with the adapters in two different states. They are configured so that a call to either number will ring the other as well as my cell phone. The only feature they don't offer is a way to tell which number a call was placed to.
The voice quality is usually good but I have had my share of hardware problems and occasional glitches where the quality goes downhill and people wonder if I am on a cell phone. Their tech support is much better now than it was earlier.
