I wouldn't get too excited about that idea, Mike. He can still do a lot of damage via the courts, executive orders, and purging the federal bureaucracies and loading it with unionized lunatics that no future Republican president can even fire (and who will actively work against him/her, like certain agents in the CIA and State Department did against Bush), over the next 3 years.
All it means is we can prevent a few of the wilder things he's doing in the open. Only if Republicans take both houses of Congress in November can we effectively neuter his efforts to "fundamentally transform America" into his Alinsky-style thugocracy, and even by then a lot of damage has been done by the front loading of all this pointless debt. Just denying him a supermajority only makes it somewhat harder for him. Actually it was good he had it for a little bit, so the people can see just what a lying sack of shit he is about transparency and openness and non-partisanship. But now he has to be stopped cold, and we are still a ways from being able to do that. - Publius On Mon, Jan 18, 2010 at 1:18 AM, Michael Madigan <[email protected]> wrote: > Obama officially becomes a lame duck less than 1 year after he takes office. > > http://hotair.com/archives/2010/01/17/cnn-white-house-predicts-coakley-loss-in-ma/ > [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
