The movie WAS really cool and slick for that time period. Although, the
downside - it gave people these High expectations of VR. While, in
reality - back then - we weren't even CLOSE to that type of VR! Even
today - we can't really do it that well - but, I think we are now
getting closer.

What was interesting about VR - is that there were technologies built
for VR - but, later applied to other areas and technologies. Something
like the Wii controller - its probably based upon VR developments.
