We are about to do that too. It's just a matter of reading a port for gps stuff. However, we will only be pulling data across the web, and the selected vendor will use Oracle to store the data. (I think they are using c++ or maybe even perl or python on the device itself). We will pull that data and cross reference the lat/lon against reported crimes. VFP will be used to munge the data.

This is the honest to gosh truth!!!: One guy wrote a VFP application that was connected to a device that was connected to a sex offender. They were shown videos and the VFP application registered the prisoner's response to the video. Kind of like a lie detector. _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/044601caba51$76f8e1e0$64eaa5...@[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
