The ship was decommissioned back in the 90's I think. This is just a ships locator so old friends can see where their buddies ended up at.
I had plans to make it multi-service for all branches, but like the old saying of when your up to your neck in alligators, its hard to remember you are here to drain the swamp. Yeah, this is one of those labor of love things.. Even thinking about borrowing ed's idea and using that mailman software to host a email service like this for each branch of the service.. Different one for each branch so that they are talking about mutual stuff. Problem is, no money to buy the hardware, so I looked at godaddy yesterday as they're cheap, but they don't offer it. I guess maybe rackspace does, but I can't afford them. Oh for the days when I used to see good checks, then this stuff would be easy to make happen <grin> By the way, added a "vets for vets" page on my http://www.KeepAmericaAtWork.com site because almost every vet I've ever run across remembers his old military buddies. How many contractors, or corporate employees have we worked with that we don't remember.. Guess its because the military always took care of its own, unlike corporate America. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jeff Johnson Sent: Tuesday, March 02, 2010 4:19 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [NF] Sorta - vfp 9 app in the news Virgil: I am guessing you are showing where people live rather than where the ship is located. Unless Fayetteville Arkansas is on the Mississippi River. ;^) Did you volunteer to do this after your service? It's nice when people of a unit keep in touch. Maybe I'll look into my squadrons.
