That last part is exactly why I didn't go the VNC route.  VNC was good 
for tech folks, but now that LogMeIn has a free version, that works just 
fine.  I've got one client setup with LMI free and I remotely connect to 
them then log into my LMI Pro subscription so I can transfer files to 
them.  Easy.  (But these other products mentioned in this thread will 
make me re-evaluate when the licenses are up for renewal!)
