Fewer unconstitutional acts these days get resisted, much less fought in court, than used to be our tradition. People are now acclimated to the government doing outrageous things. The bailout & nationalization opposition is still forming along these grounds and will play out over the years, but the health care opposition is already well formed. In general, the seizure of the health care industry is much more blatant and menacing because of the federal mandate and the expansion of powers of the IRS to peek into private accounts. (I love how you freak out over warrantless wiretaps -- which by the way Obama just extended another year! -- but are mum about even more outrageous abuses of power currently being perpetrated by your hero): http://www.redstate.com/solidprinciples/2010/03/20/state-attorney-generals-will-sue-dc-over-obamacare/ http://article.wn.com/view/2010/03/18/Virginia_will_sue_feds_over_healthcare_takeover/ Plenty of links to constitutionality challenges being prepared if you want to google them yourself. I grow weary of proving the obvious to you time and again. - Publius > > > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf > Of Publius Maximus > Sent: Sunday, 21 March 2010 12:43 PM > To: ProFox Email List > Subject: Re: [OT] Impeach the President > > On Sat, Mar 20, 2010 at 10:07 PM, geoff <[email protected]> wrote: >> || Find me the clause in the Constitution that gives the President or >> Congress these powers.|| >> >> Find me the ones where they are PROHIBITED. > > It's called the 10th Amendment. > > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constituti > on > >> See there is an entire supreme >> court and literally thousands of senior constitutional lawyers who I am >> guessing know more about it than you.
