Muslims, who are almost all of the Islam religion, are a small minority in the USA. The USA is predominately made up of various denominations of the Christian faith, so I can see where the Muslims might be a closely nit community, being greatly outnumber. When you're in the minority, it's wise to stick together. Blood is thicker than water, as I heard it said.
