We are starting to think the same way about Avira Antivir. We really liked it until the recent updates. They must have that guy that put UAC in Vista doing their user interface. Now there are a million popups. They require you to disable the real time 'guard' in order to do some routine processes. There is no longer any way to automatically delete a virus, or other automatic behavior. The stupid thing stops and requires you to make the same decision over and over. Warn me once, ok, but warn me over and over about the same file is rediculous. There is an exclusion list, but it does not work.
We are moving everything to Avast now. I hope they don't do the 'feature creep' and screw it up. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alan Bourke" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, April 15, 2010 8:15 AM Subject: Re: kaspersky On Thu, 15 Apr 2010 07:41 -0700, "Michael Madigan" <[email protected]> wrote: > If Kaspersky made seat belts, they'd weight 300 pounds and strangle you > on impact.
