There is nothing simple about this.  There is stress required, becuase
change is not easy.

Energy waste is the target.  Are  you going to focus on petrolium
based waste, or are you going to look at coal?  Will you flip over to
a newer version of power solar, wind, hydrogen, hydro or nuclear?  It
is not just oil is my point.

Do we need to invest in battery development for better cells then we
have today?  Will we drop the battery alltogether and go to just a
capacitor instead?

Now do we look to capture the tiny amounts of solar on the side of
buildings and roofs?  For those in the rainy country do we put a
waterwheel in there to extract the energy in falling water in our
gutters?

I could keep going but have more reporting to do.  :(
