Hi Geoff,

Don't you carry "papers" in Oz? My wallet weighs about half a pound, 
only a very small amount of that is money. Carried this stuff since I 
was 18. Had some kind of ID on me from childhood.

Civilization itself demands this. How are the police or hospitals going 
to contact next of kin in the event of an accident that renders you 
unconscious or incoherent? How will they know if you have allergies, 
heart trouble or diabetes?

We have to be practical, for heaven's sake!
