Guys, Must be a vendor specific implementation problem vs. a Windows 7 specific issue. We have gmail compatible SMTP code based on Python 2.6 versions that pre-date the Windows 7 release date that work fine under Windows 7.
I can't comment on Windows 7 CDO/MAPI compatibility - we don't use these protocols[1].
