Correct, however the free Microsoft VirtualPC *will* run on PCs
without hardware virtualisation.

I tried the in-built virtual XP when it came out, but I went straight
back to VirtualPC.  Can't remember why.  Nowadays I use Hyper-V and
let the server take the strain.
