Good Morning Kurt:
In my apps I use Foxspell. It works super in VFP 6,8, and 9.
See http://www.hallogram.com/foxspell/ I think it is $250.
I have used it for 11 years. It is written in 100% Foxpro code. You get the
source code. I have modified it for the look and feel of my apps.
It has never crashed or given me any grief!
Regards,

Jack Skelley

Subject: A Spell Checker for a VFP EditBox?

Hey there folks,

OK - here's the deal. I've recently been working on this little
application - that is used internally at the company here - to track the
time that people are working on tasks. The QA Tech's and some of us
programmers - all have to write up these slipsheets to account for
everything we do each day - and then our boss decides what is billable -
so he can bill the clients.

I initially started building this app just for me - as it originally
started out as a single DBF and a single Report form (since, previously
- I was typing ALL my tasks for every minute of Every day into my
Outlook calendar - so, all I needed to do was cut&paste from Outlook
into my DBF and print up the slipsheets).

But, since it has started to grow into a full fledged app - and I have
already started releasing for usage by some of the QA Tech's - now they
all keep asking for more, More and MORE!

And - you guessed it - the recent request, which they are practically
begging for - is a Spell Checker - since so many of them are bad at
spelling.

Now - I looked thru my e-mail archives and found that there was a
discussion thread on this exact topic back in Dec. 2008, as follows:

> On Wed, December 10, 2008 7:20 am, Richard Kaye wrote:

So - my question is - since Dec 2008 - has anything changed. Are those
the only options - to buy SW like what's mentioned in those links? A
quick perusal showed that the one option would cost like $450 on
WinterTree. And, I know this co. where I work will NOT cough up the
bucks for a Spell Checker.

As such - is there any free options?

Thanks in advance for any help!
