We have been hearing that the only motors in the Chevy Volt were electric and 
that when the batteries wear down, the gasoline electric generator kicks on to 
charge the batteries.   Well I always wondered how they could possibly charge 
the batteries fast enough to keep the car moving.

Well it turns out the gasoline motor also connects to the transmission directly.

$40,000 for this crap?   Why would anyone but a rich Green Weenie buy it?
