Hi Michael, Conservatism, at least the meanest variety, is a recent phenomenon in the US. In France the "Let them eat cake" attitude lead to a number of executions but it is only recently that our upper class has been the like of Marie Antoinette. Define "tremendous" then define "stretch". All my life, and I am old, the poor have been cared for by doctors and hospitals. Reagan talked of the "safety net" and this is pretty much the context. It is only the last few years that we have wanted to put them into their graves paying for what had saved their lives. -- Regards, Pete http://pete-theisen.com/ http://elect-pete-theisen.com/ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
