Do a Google to find out the adoption rate on 3D HDTVs, (eg percentage of 
3D HDTV sales this year, and estimates for the next 5 years) to get some 
idea if 3D will become a new standard.  If so, you might want to buy a 
HDTV that supports 3D; although, right now 3d HDTVs are more expensive 
that traditional HDTV.  Samsung is a leader in both HDTV and 3D HDTV, 
but you pay for the better quality.
