If the printer is attached to a computer running windows and configured as a window shared printer, Linux can print to it using samba. You will need to install samba-client on Ubuntu and select the "Windows Printer via SAMBA" when setting it up with the Ubuntu's GUI. I use a TRENDnet Multi-Port Wireless G Print Server on my network. It works with both Windows and Linux. It can handle up to three printer connected to its two USB 2.0 ports and one printer connected to its 1x parallel printer port. You get 54Mbps over wireless G and it also has a 10/100Mbps RJ-45 LAN port: http://www.provantage.com/trendnet-tew-p21g~7TDWW01L.htm Regards, LelandJ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
