GASP!

Somehow that seems like a sure invitation to being accused of leaving 
the bank door unlocked. As an IT person, as much as I'd love to put UAC 
in the dumpster, it gives me the willies to do so. Maybe I should just 
get over it. On Fedora installs I do routinely shut down SELinux...it's 
a huge pain.

On a related note, I did manage to get my brother's Win7 system to where 
I can share ANYthing ANYwhere with ANYone...even the root of C. I have 
no idea how I got it to that point, but I did a lot of mucking around 
with ownership changes....one process took about 30 minutes as it 
churned away recursively. I've since tried to repeat the process on a 
different Win 7 system and hosed it so bad I ended up reinstalling Win7.
