If you're getting shiny new Windws7 machines you're likely getting
machines with new graphics cards with lots of RAM, which will let Win7
use Aero, well-documented to cause problems with older versions of
Windows. Many of our clients were more than happy to turn Aero off
rather than paying us to recompile stable apps into the latest
runtimes.

If you're getting more than 2 Gb of RAM, folks will likely opt for
64-bit OS, which means that 32-bit applications like VFP need matching
32-bit subsystems (like ODBC) to interface with. You'll find some
pointers to doing this in the list's archive or by Googling.
