It was the general tone of your email that triggered my comment. It kinda 
implied you thought they did not pay enough. My own feeling is that 
corporations should not pay any tax. After all they are not people and just 
pass the cost onto their customers. It amounts to a hidden tax on everyone. 
Corporations are an easy target for governments to tax because government 
has the ultimate power to shut down a business or allow it to continue so 
corporations have to cave.

I often read about communities wooing businesses to locate to their state or 
city by offering no tax for years. It is a very effective tool. I wonder how 
well this could work on the national level. I bet it would take less than a 
year for businesses to make the move to the U.S. There would not be enough 
people living in the U.S. to provide all the labor that would be required. 
There would have to be a free market adjustment of the cost of products, 
wages and corporate income. It would certainly rebalance the world economy. 
Who knows what would happen?
