If I were President Obama, I would be feeling very unappreciated right
now, considering all that was accomplished during his first four year in
office.
1) When president Obama assumed office in Jan 2008, the economy was
hemorrhaging jobs at the rate of around 800,000 to 600,000 per month.
This continued over a period of 10 to 12 months; before, the Obama
administration was able to reverse the trend. It is true unemployment
stayed above 8% for 43 months as Governor Romney claims, but this is
misleading in that around 12 months of that were months in which the
economy lost job, due to the Great Recession, and the following 30 to 32
months the economy added jobs finally bring unemployment down to 7.8%
2) The Great Recession of 2007 ended sometime during the summer of
2009, and the economy began to expand again; rather than contract (eg
deflate).
3) President Obama saved the auto industry.
4) President Obama passed Universal Health Care.
5) President Obama ended "don't ask, don't tell".
6) President Obama brought the stock market back form its DJIA low of
6,547.05, March 9, 2009, to a high of around 13,500 today, which is
within striking distance of setting new all time highs.
7) President Obama appointed 2 women to the Supreme Court, one of which
was the first Hispanic to ever sit on the bench.
8) President Obama ended the war in Iraq and is bring the war in
Afghanistan to a close.
9) President Obama took out Osama bin laden
