The problem with 800x600 is that there are no monitors that can
natively handle the resolution anymore.
So the graphics card needs to scale the image, resulting in blurry fonts etc.

A better idea would be to change the DPI settings in Windows.
However, a lot of apps ignore this.

Well, first of all, people still do use CRT monitors. :->

Also, there are very few, if any, monitors that run at a native resolution of 1024 x 768 either, even though at that resolution and beyond, especially on 15" laptops, we're getting into territory where even people with pretty good vision can't read 10 pt text.

In my experience there isn't a whole lot of loss of clarity when running most LCD monitors at 800 x 600. And what blurriness there is gets made up for by having the text MUCH larger. Also, changing screen resolution is something that, in my experience, many users can master on their own. Not clear if they can do that for DPI settings.

Still I suppose I should play around with DPI settings. Is there an API call that VFP can use to adjust this?
