Actually, _grammatical_ exceptions are extremely rare in J.  That's one of
J's defining features.  And one of the reasons we love it.

[Not that we don't love Perl, too - where not having a grammatical exception
would be an exception.]

Right! Special code is transparent to the user. Meaning he can use the same
grammar (and semantics) and yet still get performance improvements. From the
language user's point of view, there are no exceptions, grammatical or
otherwise.
