Agree! > how to get > the improved keyboard talked about on the forum, I can help with this one. Go into the system Settings (not J's settings -- the Android's), down to "Language and Keyboards", and turn on the J Keyboard. THEN, start up J, and make sure the normal keyboard shows. If you're using a new Android, you'll see a system notification with a picture of a keyboard; tap it to switch keyboards. If you're using an older Android, you won't see that; if so, press on the text entry until a menu pops up, and choose the "Keyboard" entry from that. You should then be able to select the J Keyboard. You have to do that in order -- and you'll also have to remember how to long-press and change keyboards when you're done, since the J keyboard is limited for normal use. There are alternate keyboards available as well -- I use MessageEase for everything, so I never have to switch to fiddle with J (although I admit I don't use it a lot). Other people here use a Hacker's Keyboard. I see that Flit, Big7Key, and some other apps at the Play Store also provide symbols without compromising the availability of letters. (All of those keyboards will use the same system configuration sequence, although many of them automate it if you simply run the downloaded app.) > Skip Cave -Wm ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
