I don't understand your problem report. There has been no change in JHS
other than were they appear in the menu.

ide>files (note the s) is a list of files you have used recently.

ide>file (no s) is a file browser. You can navigate over your folders and
see all your files.

Please confirm that menu ide>file is working properly.

Also, please report the result of the expression in JHS:
   jpath'~temp'

And then run the same expression in jqt and report that.

It sounds like perhaps you multiple installations of J and that is the
source of the confusion.
