I've implemented a simple Loose XML parser addon "xml/loose", suitable for parsing HTML. Based on regex and featuring SAX interface.
http://www.jsoftware.com/jwiki/Addons/xml/loose It should suffice for parsing J dictionary. See if it will fit for improving qdoj.
