Sorry I wasn't clear, what I meant was: When you open a script it is read only. You can open the Form Editor and make changes to the form using the Form Editor. When you hit OK it would be nice to get a notification that the Form Editor was unable to make changes to the script. Perhaps the notification dialog could even ask "The script is read only. Do you want to make these changes anyway?".
