I don't see any reason not to have J64 and J32 on the same 64 bit OS. Perhaps there are configuration issues that will make that difficult, I have not tried it.
I suspect that some programs will run faster in J32 than J64. There will be some programs that will only run in J64 due to 64 bit data or memory requirements.
