In some English-speaking cultures, # is called "hash",
though its "proper" name is "octothorp" sometimes said
to be because the symbol shows eight fields around
a village.

I don't know what you are proposing to call / and \
but many have found the "backward/forward slash"
names hard to swallow. In some quarters the / is
called simply "slash" and \ is called "slosh",
a usage which has the advantage of simplicity.

In similar style "quit" for ' and "quote" for
" suggest themselves.
