I looked at this and after some thinking and brief experimentation, I
think we still need the word index after all, precisely because of things
like the Advanced Search matching types that I alluded to in the footnote
in comment:9 above. So I'll keep the word index almost as it is now,
except for killing the first names from it, when a configuration option is
set on. Stay tuned.
