Are you sure, that you want to dig in these backwaters? Usually, you should be able to get the information needed from your Marc as well and then you could just use invenios search engine (aka perform_request_search) without fiddling with the db as such. Or in other words: if it is important to know who did the initial submission it should stay in a marc tag. On the other hand, if it is nothing time critical you could in principle loop over all records using the bibedit-interface.
