Thanks for your reply, Alexander. The reason I asked is because I have an odd problem with my test installation: perform_request_search returns no results on the user profile page. I know I need to get that fixed as well, but I was delving around in the db, and I could see that by submissions were at least found in there, so I thought a direct query might provide a workaround for my problem.

Usually, you should be able to get the information needed from your Marc as well and then you could just use invenios search engine (aka perform_request_search) without fiddling with the db as such. Or in other words: if it is important to know who did the initial submission it should stay in a marc tag. On the other hand, if it is nothing time critical you could in principle loop over all records using the bibedit-interface.
