We have never actually attempted to port that piece of code to higher Solr versions, partially due to foreseen migration to Elasticsearch. Hopefully you can stay with the old Solr version for a while, and later jump onto the new shiny Invenio 3 when it is out. Best regards -- Tibor Simko
