Indeed, but it has many implications, which means that it will never be as
simple, because of Savane internal design. Because when you add exceptions,
in many places you have to make sure these will be taken into account
properly. Also, as the usual model of configuration is to provide several
level of configuration (site wide, group type wide, group wide) and that it
is supposed to automatically jump from one level to another depending on the
circonstances, adding just one option means at least adding 3 options to
avoid breaking the usual behavior (and inconsistency is the worse
nightmare).

Actually, that's an issue that makes me wonder.
Clearly, it is often confusing to have too different CVS repos. But wouldn't
it be worse to risk to have everything mixed up? On the other hand, a
directory named home.gna.org would be self explanatory... :p
