Fyi, the repository separation was setup at Savannah so as to provide
privileges to membesr of group 'www', so they can edit any GNU project's
webpages (Afaik they still use it, somebody complained last time it broke.)
Back then there was a huge www.gnu.org repository and another repository for
www.nongnu.org, wasn't it?
Technically I think it could be done with one repository in CVS by chgrp'ing
a dedicated 'www' module appropriately. This technique does not apply to SVN
though.
