I don't think that this item has been listed previously during this thread:

- (Pcb Server): When a pad uses the Pad Stack feature (i.e. when the "Use
Pad Stack" checkbox in the "Properties" Tab of the "Pad" dialog box is
checked), the X-Size and Y-Size distances displayed in the "Properties" Tab
(of the "Pad" dialog box) are *always* the same as the corresponding
distances displayed for the *Top* layer within the "Pad Stack" Tab (of the
"Pad" dialog box). That is indeed appropriate if the pad concerned is on one
of the "top" layers, i.e. the Top Overlay, Top Solder Mask, Top Paste Mask,
or Top signal/copper layer. However, a good case could be made for saying
that this is *not* appropriate if the pad is on any of the other layers. If
the pad concerned is on one of the "bottom" layers, i.e. the Bottom Overlay,
Bottom Solder Mask, Bottom Paste Mask, or Bottom signal/copper layer, then
the distances displayed in the "Properties" Tab should *instead* be the same
as the corresponding distances displayed for the *Bottom* layer within the
"Pad Stack" Tab. And if the pad concerned is on any of the remaining layers,
then the distances displayed in the "Properties" Tab should be the same as
the corresponding distances displayed for the *Middle* layer within the "Pad
Stack" Tab.

Another aspect of the current situation is that if the "Use Pad Stack"
checkbox (in the "Properties" Tab of the "Pad" dialog box) is changed from a
checked state to an unchecked state, then the dimensions of the pad on *all*
layers (top, middle, and bottom) are changed to the previous dimensions of
the pad on its Top layer (as previously listed in the "Pad Stack" Tab of the
"Pad" dialog box). Again, that should only be the case if the pad is on one
of the "top" layers.

Maybe not the biggest of issues. But still annoying in some situations when
"de-pad-stacking" pads that are not on one of the "top" layers. Pcb files
that were previously created using Adv Pcb 2.8 can be problematic in this
regard.

Geoff Harland.
