It's a nice story.  But I can think of two reasons for the
change of schedule.  One, the sword master assumed the
tyro would be working really, really, really, really...hard vs.
only "really hard".  Two, the sword master assumed the tyro
would let the trainning happen, vs working "really hard".  I
would think that assumption two is the correct one since it's
a very Zen thing.
