Sorry Cliff,
        I give at the office everyday. My cat-of-nine-tails hangs on the
shelf right beside the Protel manual, everytime I go to reach for the manual
I take my punishment for such a ridiculous thought. 8^> (tongue firmly
planted in cheek) The most painful thing that I find about dealing with
Protel is that they promise nothing and deliver nothing, faithfully. They
are consistent.

        I can vouch for your comments about Viewdraw, although it has been
many years, it always was cumbersome and ugly. PADS, well that seems to be a
user related issue. I used it for many years and know a great many other
designers who use it, I would go back in a minute and most of my
acquaintances are quite satisfied with it. It has some issues but there is
at least a constant effort to deal with and fix those issues on an ongoing
basis. A similar effort would go miles for peoples satisfaction with Protel,
Protel just doesn't seem to even want to try. Sometimes it is not even the
effort but a feeling that the company does care and is trying to do
something about it. Protel scores "0" on my customer satisfaction survey
card.
